Vendor Agreement
Effective: January 1, 2025 | Applies to all approved Cheqit vendors
This Vendor Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your participation as a seller (“Vendor”) on the Cheqit marketplace. By submitting a vendor application or using vendor features, you accept this Agreement in full.
1. Eligibility and Application
To become a Cheqit vendor, you must:
- Be a legal business entity or an individual with authority to sell goods.
- Provide accurate business name, contact, tax, and payout information.
- Pass Cheqit’s vendor review and approval process.
- Agree to this Agreement and Cheqit’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Cheqit reserves the right to approve or reject any vendor application at its sole discretion.
2. Vendor Responsibilities
As a Cheqit vendor, you agree to:
- List only items you own or are authorized to sell.
- Provide accurate and complete product descriptions, images, and pricing.
- Maintain sufficient inventory to fulfill listed products.
- Ship orders within the stated processing time.
- Handle returns and refunds in accordance with Cheqit’s Refund Policy.
- Respond to customer inquiries within 2 business days.
- Comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, tax, and trade regulations.
- Not engage in price manipulation, review fraud, or off-platform solicitation.
3. Prohibited Items
Vendors may not list items that are:
- Counterfeit, illegal, or infringe intellectual property rights.
- Dangerous or regulated without proper licensing.
- Prohibited by the laws of the seller’s or buyer’s jurisdiction.
- Adult content (unless explicitly approved for a dedicated category).
- Weapons, ammunition, or controlled substances.
4. Fees and Commissions
Cheqit charges a platform commission on each sale. The current commission rate is displayed in your vendor dashboard under Finance. Cheqit may update commission rates with 30 days notice. Additional fees may apply for premium listings, sponsored placements, or value-added services.
5. Payouts
Vendor payouts are processed on a regular schedule after platform fees, refunds, and applicable tax withholding. Payouts are released after a settlement period to account for potential chargebacks. Vendors must maintain a verified payout account in their vendor settings. Cheqit is not responsible for bank delays in receiving funds.
6. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of your product content. By listing on Cheqit, you grant Cheqit a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and promote your listings on the platform and in marketing materials. Cheqit may remove listings that violate platform policies.
7. Performance Standards
Cheqit monitors vendor performance using metrics including:
- On-time dispatch rate (>90% expected).
- Order defect rate (<2% expected).
- Customer response time (<48 hours).
- Return and dispute rates.
Vendors failing to meet performance standards may have listings paused, account suspended, or be subject to additional review.
8. Suspension and Termination
Cheqit may suspend or terminate a vendor account for policy violations, fraud, poor performance, or legal concerns. In non-emergency cases, Cheqit will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal. Upon termination, open orders must be fulfilled or refunded, and pending payouts will be settled after the dispute window.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cheqit, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your products, or your violation of this Agreement.
10. Changes to Agreement
Cheqit may update this Agreement with 30 days notice. Continued use of vendor features after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification.
